BaBEEs In Bloom

Infant Massage and movement therapy for breast and bottlefeeding

Infant Massage + Movement Therapy

Breastfeeding is a relationship between two bodies.

When feeding feels difficult, baby feels tense, or you're noticing patterns that leave you wondering whether something is “off,” you deserve care that looks at the whole feeding experience.

This class honors your baBEE’s cues, temperament, and developmental stage, creating a calm and responsive experience for both of you. Guided by a trained infant massage educator and certified stretch therapist, my sessions include parent education and demonstration with a doll so you feel confident continuing massage at home as part of your daily or bedtime routine.

Infant Massage Class

Your Infant Massage Session Combines:

Certified Massage Therapy + Certified Breastfeeding Specialist Support + Infant Massage Training + TOTS Specialty Training

to create a personalized experience for both parent and babee.

Your baby's bodywork may include gentle, developmentally appropriate techniques designed to support:

  • Facial and jaw relaxation

  • Oral-area relaxation

  • Body tension

  • Infant comfort

  • Relaxation and bonding

  • Awareness of movement and body patterns

  • Feeding-related tension

  • Parent-infant connection

Supporting Comfortable Feeding, Movement & Early Development

A babee’s body is constantly learning how to coordinate sucking, swallowing, breathing, movement, and connection. When a babeee carries tension from birth, positioning, prolonged labor, cesarean birth, or simply the adjustment to life outside the womb, gentle bodywork may help create a more comfortable environment for feeding and movement.

Infant bodywork is not about “fixing” your baby. It is about listening to their body and supporting comfortable movement.

Support More Comfortable Feeding

Gentle infant massage and bodywork may help release areas of muscular tension around the jaw, cheeks, neck, shoulders, chest, and body that can affect a baby's comfort during feeding.

Parents may notice things such as:

  • Difficulty settling into a feeding position

  • Turning the head preferentially to one side

  • Body stiffness or arching

  • Tension around the jaw or face

  • Difficulty relaxing during breastfeeding or bottle-feeding

  • Fussiness when positioned for feeding

  • Difficulty coordinating feeding when overtired

Bodywork can be used alongside appropriate lactation and pediatric care to help your baby feel more comfortable and supported.

Support Regulation & Connection

Infant massage isn't only about muscles. Touch is communication.

Slow, responsive touch can become a beautiful opportunity for parent and baby to practice:

Pause → Observe → Touch → Respond

This can help parents become more familiar with their baby's cues while creating intentional time for bonding and calming.

Encourage Comfortable Movement

Early movement experiences provide important opportunities for babies to explore their environment.

Gentle bodywork may support awareness of:

  • Head and neck movement

  • Symmetry and comfortable positioning

  • Trunk movement

  • Limb mobility

  • Relaxation after feeding

  • Tolerance for different positions

The goal isn't to make developmental milestones happen faster. The goal is to create comfortable opportunities for your baby to move, explore, and participate in everyday care.

🐝 When Feeding Feels Hard

If your baby is experiencing persistent feeding difficulty, clicking, choking, poor weight gain, significant reflux symptoms, painful breastfeeding, or difficulty coordinating sucking, swallowing, and breathing, bodywork should not replace medical or feeding evaluation.

Depending on the concern, we recommend a lactation visit with us for a more comprehensive consult. Your care team may include a pediatric dentist, speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, or other qualified professionals.

Your babee's bodywork session can become one supportive piece of a larger care team.
